There are several ways members can assist in worship. Please click the links below to sign up.
Ushers. Acting as an usher at St. James provides a valuable service to St. James and is a great way to meet old and new acquaintances at church. You can serve as a single, a couple or as a family. Instruction and training are provided for new ushers. Click to sign up.
Assisting Ministers assist the pastors in conducting the worship service. They are needed at both the 8:30 and 10:45 worship services. They must have an interest in reading scripture and prayers during the worship service as well as assisting in the Sacrament of Communion. Click to Volunteer.
Altar Guild. This special group prepares Communion for all of our in-person worship services. Teams of two are responsible for all services over a two-week period. If you are interested in serving, please contact Pastor Peter Narum.
Greeters of the church play a key role in representing the “first impression” of St. James church to both visitors and members alike. We are looking for members and families who have a passion for sharing a friendly greeting and making people feel comfortable as they enter the church for worship. Click to volunteer.
Communion Assistants assist the pastors in assisting the Sacrament of Communion. They are needed at both the 8:30 am and 10:45 am worship services.
